Village Chronicler's Community Events page lists lots of activities for people of all ages.

Publishing discontinued

Publication of the Village Chronicler was discontinued in August 2011.

April 8, 2012

Village Chronicler began in May 2009 with the publication of the Ladner-Tsawwassen Past Times, a restaurant publication highlighting history, with emphasis on the Ladner and Tsawwassen areas of South Delta in the B.C. Lower Mainland.  Eight issues of the Ladner-Tsawwassen Past Times were published during the summer of 2009, and a ninth issue came out during the 2009 Christmas season.

Regular publication resumed on April 16, 2010 under the name Ladner-Tsawwassen Village Chronicler.  Also appearing in April 2010 was the first issue of the Steveston Village Chronicler.  A third edition, Kennedy-Strawberry Hill, began publication on September 24, 2010. Publication of this edition was suspended in November, but will be resumed at a later date.

Village Chronicler newsletters are distributed free in restaurants and medical offices for the reading entertainment of patrons.  Village Chronicler founder Wayne Oliver believes most people prefer reading content that is both entertaining and enlightening, and that learning about one’s community’s past serves also to enhance a person’s sense of belonging in one’s community.  To view some recent issues, click here.

Like most commercial print publications, Village Chronicler newsletters serve a dual role.  One is to entertain readers, the other is to provide a medium for businesses and others to promote their enterprises.  Village Chronicler recognizes that print advertising is but one part of a modern marketing system in today’s business world, and is committed to a diversified program of support for its customers.  To learn more, go to our advertising section, or better yet, phone Wayne at 604-328-8626.
